I found myself at a UB40 concert tonight. Yeah, that is a bit weird. Just so happens that last week my coworker offered a free ticket and I accepted. But in typical fashion, I completely forgot. So, I was reminded this afternoon. Honestly, it was a great show. They did have a number of songs that I had forgotten about. The typical of which being "Red, Red Wine" and also "The Way You Do The Things You Do." Sounds odd, but I totally forgot that they did these tracks.
Funny because there was a huge gush of wetness as soon as "Red, Red Wine" dropped. Ladies LOVE this track. I'm surprised I haven't heard this track more at bars. I'm sure it'll be there soon though. Best song they played? "Homely Girl" Song's got strength just based on the title alone.
Dunno if I could fully get into them however. I do like reggae, however, I have none of in my collection. I should expand a bit though. The spinoff of Dub seems to be some of my favorite though, from the few tracks that I have heard. I'll dig up some stuff on here and see what yall might think. Here's one track that's kinda let me to look for some more. All I could find is a amazon link w/ a snippet. http://www.amazon.com/Rasta-Country/dp/B000RGBA06 ILL, ILL, ILL drum solo that accompanies this song, but you won't hear it here. :o
I was led to this from reading the following book:
Came on the soundtrack w/ the book. GREAT read for those that want to bother. I might pick it back up. One of these days, I'll mess around w/ uploads and getting yall this shit that I talk about on here.
In closed, I'll leave yall w/ something fitting to go along w/ the reggae feel of this post. Ironically the perfect summertime music and I'm sittin' here writing about it at the end.
