I have fallen in love again...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Maaaaaaaaad props go out to Wade for finding this...

I'm not a violent person, by any means. But seeing this, brings back sooooo many good memories. Maybe I'm just a fanboy. This brought me back to the time in 6th or 7th grade, being at Tilt at Tysons Corner with Killa B, trying to peek my head over everyone's shoulders to see what the hype was about this new game. Just as I get a shot, I see Raiden blow Scorpion's head off. Doesn't get much better than that folks.

I will be copping a PS3 when this drops, best believe it.

I fought long and hard over this one, but after a while of looking at vids, I'm going to go w/ Scorpion on my favorite Fatalities as a whole. Only because SubZero fell off as time went on. You be the judge:

And on a fitting musical note:

UB40: Kings of the two-step

Odd night, to say the least.

I found myself at a UB40 concert tonight. Yeah, that is a bit weird. Just so happens that last week my coworker offered a free ticket and I accepted. But in typical fashion, I completely forgot. So, I was reminded this afternoon. Honestly, it was a great show. They did have a number of songs that I had forgotten about. The typical of which being "Red, Red Wine" and also "The Way You Do The Things You Do." Sounds odd, but I totally forgot that they did these tracks.

Funny because there was a huge gush of wetness as soon as "Red, Red Wine" dropped. Ladies LOVE this track. I'm surprised I haven't heard this track more at bars. I'm sure it'll be there soon though. Best song they played? "Homely Girl" Song's got strength just based on the title alone.

Dunno if I could fully get into them however. I do like reggae, however, I have none of in my collection. I should expand a bit though. The spinoff of Dub seems to be some of my favorite though, from the few tracks that I have heard. I'll dig up some stuff on here and see what yall might think. Here's one track that's kinda let me to look for some more. All I could find is a amazon link w/ a snippet. http://www.amazon.com/Rasta-Country/dp/B000RGBA06 ILL, ILL, ILL drum solo that accompanies this song, but you won't hear it here. :o

I was led to this from reading the following book:

Came on the soundtrack w/ the book. GREAT read for those that want to bother. I might pick it back up. One of these days, I'll mess around w/ uploads and getting yall this shit that I talk about on here.

In closed, I'll leave yall w/ something fitting to go along w/ the reggae feel of this post. Ironically the perfect summertime music and I'm sittin' here writing about it at the end.

So MJ did steal the Moonwalk...

Props to Wade for finding this. Really amazing if you think about it. '79 Crew reps hard on this one. MJ didn't drop the Moonwalk 'til when? '83? Granted, he does do it well, but not the original. Sorry Dr. Fortune.

No song on this one as it is a dedicated music post. But thanks to yall who read this that threw out the watch suggestions. I think that I've seen more now, I'm more confused, and studying my bank account a bit more as well. :o

I wish I was there to console Alicia Sacramone

Poor girl. :o I was pullin' for you! Give me a shout though, when you can.

This blog just took quite the detour. I just finished booking my hotel stuff for the trip to Ocean Shitty. Once again, I'm really looking forward to this trip. Maybe I do need another break, maybe I just need to get out more on the weekends. But, this should be a dope ass time.

So, not that I needed it, but I did some money shopping therapy. At least, that's how my mind was justifying things.

I've wanted another G-Shock for YEARS now, but I never pulled the trigger. I remember back when I had mine in elementary school, like 3rd grade. God kinda cised for it back then, still do to this day. I've been in a watch mood lately, and I need to cop a formal one too. Kinda shook w/ those because of teh price. I'm going to put my toe in the water sometime this weekend and see what some prices are.

Twan, give me your opinion on some best bang for the buck formal watches. Keep the Mr. C Breitling's out of the list.

I was jammin' out to this last night on my way home from a stressful day at work. Almost borderline emo feeling because I didn't feel like saying a word to anyone.

Easy come, easy go...

Well, just as soon as something comes into life, it can go away. You guess it. This'll be my sap and rap blog. Usually I'm writing these at like midnight when I can't sleep, but it's quarter after 7 on Thursdee and I'm sittin' here w/ my beer and enjoying the view (I need a camera, pretty bad).

She's going to read this, but it's whatever. From a relationship standpoint, Rocio and I are done. I think I jumped the gun a bit. I fell too hard, too fast (more on that later, but it'll be tough). Maybe it was a crush. Based on the inital feelings and all that, I think it was. But it's a tough call. She did also misconstrue a statement I made about bossy women, however, the truth has been laid out about that one. The funny thing is that I realized why I liked her so much. She reminded me a lot of Becky. I'm pretty much stuck w/ one type of female. :o

God, I can't believe I JUST realized this too. I knew there was something about homegirl, so this makes complete sense now. "Oh day, it'll all make sense."

Buggin' if Becky ever finds this page. My pre-apologies.

However, onto the more pressing matters for this weekend. It seems like forever since we've had a Fabricated White Night out and about in Arlington. I swear, it's been an easy couple of months. Life's gotten in the way w/ a lot of us, and relationships, but tomorrow it'll all be forgotten and we can get some quality, earned fuckery in.

And speaking of fuckery, I'm about to schedule my time to head to Ocean Shitty for H2O. I know, I know, I'm out of the VW scene, but Eurotrash and crew are fun as hell to hang out with, so I'm going again this year. Mike and Jenn, Nathan too. Should be a good time to get away and stay twisted for 3 days. We had tons of fun two years ago, so we'll have to do it up that much more this year. Speaking of, from the few people that do read this, let me know if I should show my car. Eurotrash Matt has leaned on me enough to do so, but lemme get the popular opinion. Give me some love back.

I'll leave you w/ this. Not really fitting, but it just popped into my head:

I've had some pretty good luck over the years, but this.....

"We are pleased to inform you that your offer to purchase tickets as contained in your application for tickets to the 2009 NCAA Men's Final Four, to be held April 4 and 6 at Ford Field in Detroit, has been accepted."

You read that right, those tickets that I applied for back in February to send Pops to the Final Four next year came through. Out of the thousands of people that applied for these things, my two little chances got picked. Amazing. I ran up to my place, poured a beer and called the parents immediately. I've never had something like this happen before. Pops was beyond cised. I could hear it in his voice. I know that this is something that he's wanted to do in life and I was tired of getting him golf related stuff for Father's Day or his birthdays over the years. Figured he deserved something better and more special.

Happy Birthday, Pops.

This song has little to nothing to do with this happening, and I am jumpin' the gun a bit w/ the colder weather. But in lieu of the cooler nights, I cannot wait for fall to hurry up and get here. This is one of my favorite tracks from one of my favorite fall and winter albums. Enjoy:

Fuckers gotta stop w/ the no embedding shit:

Saudi Arabia! Hatin' on women since the 5th century BC!

Well, it's 2008, and god bless news casters that we have and the pillars of journalism they really are. The little gem of information that Saudi Arabia still not allowing women to drive was dropped during their entrance. God damn, it's 2008 and somen can't drive there w/o the "permission of a male guardian." Damn, just damn. And of all times to drop that type of information.

So, this week has given me feeling of completeness (is that a word?). I've gotten back in the habit of moving my music over to the HD here and it's given me a chance to dl albums that I've forgotten and/or lost over the years. I love how music makes you feel. I think I've commented on this before, however, they say that scent is the strongest sense tied to memory. I can attest to that, however, when I hear certain songs that I've forgotten about, my mind starts working a mile a minute. And to boot, someone at work found a CD that I thought was all but lost. I never thought I'd see that again, but it showed up in a random computer at the office. Even Steven? Maybe.....

Second part of the complete theme is, well, you can guess it. I won't go into things a whole for hte sake of some privacy, but let's just say that I'm feeling pretty damn good. I hope it continues.

I'll end it w/ this gem. Found this CD single last night. For those that know me, I played the fuck out of this song, but fuck it. The whole damn thing is fire:

God damn, I forgot how ill this song really is

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6oF04D7z6c

Gay, imbedding dagger is there again but, you get the picture.

Mondee night I had to go help New Michelle move (congrats on the place again chica!). Which was cool, moving can be fun, it's a life cleanser if you will. You get to either find all the cool shit you forgot you had or throw away all the wack shit you wondered why you bought.

Well, after the festivities, New Michelle's viewing selection was limited to "Mean Girls" and "8 Mile." After filling the spank bank with images of my girl Lacy, New Michelle's brother Mark threw in "8 Mile." Wade's been pushing this movie on me for quite sometime. But, we skimmed through all the BS and only watched the final battle. And voila, this instrumental was being played. I forgot how freaking dope this beat actually is. Drove myself creazy thinking of it, but finally remembered. It's one of those songs at least for me, that I can listen to over and over. This is another song that usually makes me think a lot. The lyrics are ill, but the beat is what does it for me.

I think I've realized that I've forgotten more music than most know about. Sad, but true.

Oh and this video ushered in the DKNY movement, which was a fly time. There I go again, thinkin' about the past. I might rock my '95's to the grocery store now just because.

There you go Twan, more rap, less sap, holla!
